The Innovation Committee believes that without strong innovation, the European fine chemicals industry will be unable to compete with lower-cost manufacturers.

Mission: To sustain and grow the European fine chemicals industry through enhanced innovation

Definitions: Research is the process of converting money into knowledge; Innovation is the process of converting knowledge into money.

Objectives:

To improve advocacy for real innovation in Europe
To define the focus of innovation for the European fine chemicals industry
To improve members business performance by identifying and dealing with the barriers to innovation
To establish a collaborative work programme to facilitate innovation in member companies in the short, medium and long term
To seek additional government support for innovation
To seek alliances with other relevant innovation groups
